JOB OPENING
POSITION: ART DIRECTOR
REQUIREMENT: BACHELORS DEGREE IN GRAPHIC DESIGN/
ILLUSTRATION OR RELATED
SALARY: $26 per hour (20-35 hours per week)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-
Develop ideas and concepts for video games and movies, present ideas and concepts in images, illustrations and other art forms.
-
Develop idea, concepts, art forms and images used in industrial products;
-
Create, draw, modify and produce artworks design to achieve desired effect according to client’s requirements;
-
Discuss and confer with clients and advise clients in various stages of production to ensure artistic effect;
-
Work with and direct other workers (including contracted workers) to produce designs in their complete forms.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-
Well rounded design skill set with a strong emphasis on technical drawing, industrial design rendering, digital painting and strong understanding of concept art style.
-
Strong understanding of design for the entertainment industry (video games, movies, motion graphics.)
-
Strong understanding of Industrial design and product design with an emphasis on toy and apparel design.
-
Multilingual clients are highly desired, preferably one who has a strong grasp of the following languages and its cultures: - Mandarin, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Japanese.
-
Candidates MUST possess a bachelor’s in fine arts degree in Illustration/ Graphic Design or design related field.
-
Previous experience in a design related field is highly desirable.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop cs3, Adobe Illustrator cs3
-
Must have outstanding traditional art skills ( technical drawing, perspective, figure drawing, painting. )
-
Knowledge of Adobe Aftereffects and Flash is highly desired.
-
Architectural and industrial design knowledge.
-
Interest and experience in toy and apparel design.
